To manage a portfolio of client relationships, developing new businesses and maintaining existing relationships with a view to growing assets, liabilities and profits from satisfied customers.

Main Responsibilities:

1. To be part of the business development team, supporting the DFI in management of existing FI relationships.

2. Identify and target new FI relationships in West Africa.

3. Drive utilization of facilities to assist the team in meeting budget targets.

4. Monitoring of loan maturities and overdrawn accounts, so these are kept to a minimum.

Oil & Gas

The boutique is very much research lead and therefore are looking to compliment their equity research team with someone with extensive industry experience, ideally gained while working internationally in upstream oil and gas industry. Candidates will have 3-6 years plus industry experience or have worked as a consultant for an independent research evaluation firm.

Candidates will have a geosciences/ petroleum engineering degree. They will also have had a strong working knowledge of petroleum geology or similar and are looking to make a switch and join a securities house specialising in financing natural resource companies. Valuation of projects and financial analysis skills in combination with industry/ consulting experience would definitely be advantageous.

The role will be essentially focused on Oil and Gas project assessment, data reviewing and project evaluation for purposes of financing small to mid cap companies either on a private basis, IPOs or secondary public offerings.

This opportunity is unlikely to suit someone coming from a previous equity research Oil and Gas position without the previous industry experience, as they will lack the specific technical knowledge that our client wants to harness.
